Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in mechanical design. The chosen candidate will have a demonstrated ability to perform design of aircraft secondary structures. These secondary structures include, but are not limited to, crew systems, equipment integration, general aircraft mechanisms, and landing gear. This role requires an individual with demonstrated team leadership experience and ability to perform integration activities. The ability to perform kinematic analysis and experience in the procurement of aircraft hardware with related supplier management skills is also desired.
This position will be permanently located in Melbourne, FL. Some travel is required.
Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years' experience (or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years' experience) directly related to aircraft mechanical systems development and analysis. Proven engineering team leadership and supplier management skills. Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA. Experience with NX and TeamCenter.
