Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Mechanical Assembler/Fabrication Specialists to support the Mechanical Design and Fabrication manufacturing cell at the BWI facility in Linthicum, MD. Essential Functions: Determine, plan, develop and modify complex fabrication processes and methodology to produce prototype and complex electro-mechanical units and assemblies. Assemble complete electro-mechanical units consisting of chassis, power assemblies, frames and related units performing required welding, spot welding, drilling, riveting , cleaning, de-burring and the like. Coordinate, with the assistance of other personnel, fabrication work group activities to ensure proper development of products from the prototype to the production stage, utilizing latest available equipment and techniques. Set up and operate punch presses, NC punch presses, etc. to perform a variety of fabrication operations. This is an IUE Union Represented position This is a 1st shift position Basic Qualifications: High School or Recognized Equivalent Experience Requirement: Must be able to demonstrate the following basic via structured interview, manual dexterity, drawing interpretation and the ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
