Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Material Distribution Handling Support 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in St. Augustine, Florida. The selected candidate will provide Goods Movement and Logistics Support for the Global Supply Chain.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices
  • Utilize computers to maintain data
  • Receive incoming materials
  • Prepares materials for shipment
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials
  • Prepare records of materials shipped and bills of lading
  • Route materials to destinations
  • Lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes.
  • Prepare parts and tooling for special shipment

Basic Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with each of the following:
  • Forklift operation as a forklift operator
  • Loading and unloading tractor trailers
  • Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Performing receiving and shipping processes in an industrial environment
  • Creating freight Bills of Lading
  • Packaging and preparing items for shipment
