Conducts experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories to support engineering and reliability analyses. Evaluates new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. Isolates problems for further analyses. Collects and documents results, and generates reports. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May design experiments. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.

- processing flight hardware thru heat treatment or brazing.
- precision assembly, including application of brazing alloy
- operation of furnace and precision assembly
- performing maintenance on tools and equipment
- use of data acquisition systems
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or other 2-year technical degree and at least 3 years of experience. Experience must include:
Operating heat-treatment equipment
precision assembly of hardware (ex: wave guides, components, thrusters, cryo-coolers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
aerospace/aircraft experience is a plus
