Materials Processes Tech 1

Conducts experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories to support engineering and reliability analyses. Evaluates new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. Isolates problems for further analyses. Collects and documents results, and generates reports. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May design experiments. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.Basic Qualifications:
An AA degree is required.
Must be mechanically and technically proficient to execute mechanical test lab requests.

Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical testing experience including tensile, compression, friction, burst and bend testing.
Materials testing experience to certify or extend the shelf life of adhesives, tapes, pre-pregs and other shelf life materials.
