This position is for the Automated Assembly Line (AAL) section manager within the Module Assembly and Test department (MA&T). Responsibilities include managing assembly technicians, engineers and automated assembly equipment to most efficiently build hardware to design requirements. The candidate will be the process owner for all automated assembly process documents, ensure compliance, analyze defect, cost, and schedule metrics and implement continuous improvements. The section manager will review Labor Resource and Planning estimates from programs in addition to manage the lab's consumable material inventory and the equipment calibration and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure adequate resources are available when necessary. Candidate will work closely with other assembly front line managers and program sub project managers to assign resources most efficiently to meet cost and schedule targets.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience

Previous production/manufacturing experience

Pr evious experience leading technical or functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
Flight production experience

Lean manufacturing concepts
