This is a Supplier Manufacturing Engineering position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and will support the F35 Program. The individual hired will be a focal point for external production/acquisition activities through coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in aircraft structures and composites fabrication. We are seeking a candidate with highly developed interpersonal skills, a personal drive to exceed, and the capability of working in a small, high performance team environment.

Activities include, but are not limited to: providing subject matter expertise to resolve technical issues on designs, processes, tooling and other concerns involving supplier production activities, support engineering development and production teams to ensure producibility and affordability of design and manufacturing systems, and perform sound technical evaluations of supplier's proposals. The individual will perform duties such as facilitate Production Readiness Reviews, support technical challenges on-site at the supplier when needed, provide dispositions on Request for Change/Information (RC/I), review Engineering revisions, represent the organization at the Program customer level, and provide technical leadership and support to Global Supply Chain personnel, as well as all levels of NGAS management.

Travel required: up to 10%.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sDegreein STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or an engineeringfield; OR Masters Degree with3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or an engineeringfield
  • Experience supporting Composites fabrication and processes
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting Blueprints and 3-D models
  • Experience withMicrosoft Office Suite
  • Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, functional departments, and suppliers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to support projects programs concurrently
  • Familiarity with ITAR requirements
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
  • Active in-scope DOD Secret security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years
