Manager Systems Engineering 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, located in Linthicum, MD is seeking a manager for the Systems Integration and Test team. Position: System Integration and Test Dual-Role Functional Manager in the L&A C4ISR business area. The dual-role manager position comprises both group management duties as well as the performance of individual productive work on a program or several programs. Group management duties: Supervise a group of 10-12 I&T engineers working various programs; perform yearly goal setting; evaluate performance; enable skill development and career growth; monitor compliance with department processes and company values; provide team leadership and engagement; and approve weekly time charging. Also, interact with program business areas to coordinate staffing and other program support (e.g. proposal reviews, customer meetings). Individual Contributor role: Perform direct program duties as a systems I&T engineer, IPT Lead, technical lead, or other technical function, within the electronic warfare, signals intelligence, radar, or space systems product technology areas.

Basic Qualifications:

BS or higher in an engineering or closely-related discipline. 7 years of experience with the integration and test of electronic warfare, signals intelligence, radar, or space sensor systems. Leadership qualities, including strong communication and organizational skills. Secret clearance is required prior to commencing employment, with the ability to obtain higher clearances. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in technical discipline. Top Secret clearance and/or SCI with CI or FS polygraph. Experience leading people in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity. Prior IPT Lead responsibilities.
