Manager, Strategic Planning 3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking to hire a Manager of Strategic Planning. The selected individual will lead the development and communication of the sector's Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and Prompt Start deliverables, including analysis of our environment, customers, and competitors; identification of key strategic issues, impacts, and actions required by the sector; development of the sector strategic direction and supporting strategic analysis; and development of options and paths for the sector, divisions, and business areas within the sector. The selected individual will lead special studies that may include the management of outside consultant teams and will be responsible for developing / managing the agenda for the sector-wide strategy action council (SAC).

Qualified candidates must have knowledge and experience in all phases of business analysis, strategy development and related processes. The selected individual will also be expected to support integrated investment planning and other strategic initiatives. Knowledge of and experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry and the government budgeting and acquisition process are important. Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills are required.

The position will be located in either Linthicum, Maryland or McLean, Virginia at the discretion of the selected individual and the hiring manager; however, the selected individual will need to attend meetings in both locations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline
Minimum of5 years of related experience including some experience in business analysis and/or strategy development
Knowledge of and experience in the Aerospace, Engineering, and/or Defense industry
US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Current DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Experience in a consulting role
Experience in a management role
