Manager Reliability Engineering 2

Northrop Grumman, Rolling Meadows, IL is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team.

The Manager of Supportability Engineering is responsible for planning, staffing, directing, and managing the cost, schedule and performance for the Supportability Engineering functional group within the Logistics organization. Responsibilities require the close coordination and integration of team activities across multiple product lines and with other functional departments as required in support of program objectives. This functional manager will also coordinate the preparation of all proposals, proposal work statements and specifications, scope of work for Supportability Engineering Tasks (Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis, Systems Safety, Maintainability, Testability and the coordination and conduct of various reliability testing programs), operating budgets for all assigned personnel, and workload planning and forecasting. Excellent communication/presentation skills and an in-depth knowledge of reliability management, and Supportability Engineering tasks as listed previously is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline. 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years of direct experience leading teams in reliability improvement efforts.
  • Experience with Reliability Predictions/Modeling and FMECA, Systems Safety, Testability or Reliability Growth/Demonstration/Characterization Testing for Military or Automotive Products
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced engineering degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Statistics, is preferred.
