Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Manager Quality Engineering 3 for a program located in the Palmdale, CA facility within the Quality department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability oversight forSpecial ProgramsGlobal Mission Excellence statements of work.
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to motivate diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification.
  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

ASMGMT

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM field and a minimum of7 years in the Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • The ability to obtain and maintain aDoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and work flow.
  • Ability to analyzealternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence.
