Manager Programs 3 (TS/SCI Required)

TheMilitary and Civil Space (MCS) business areahas an opportunity in Azusa, California for an experienced program manager with skills in managing customer interfaces and program capture. This position supports the MCS organization and will be responsible for formulating and executing strategy for positioning Northrop Grumman to be successful in capturing the follow-on phases for next generation OPIR pursuits as well as space sensors/[payloads. This position will also be responsible for identifying and prioritizing NCTA investments and strategies necessary to maximize Pwin success.
The individual should also be knowledgeable of the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission area, including space and ground segments, and have a solid understanding of the Air Force space program acquisition processes from initial planning to contract award. This individual will be required to engage frequently with Air Force, MDA and intel customer's program leadership, understanding their mission needs and presenting Northrop's approach toward solving their problems.
Strong experience is required in managing external customer interfaces, both programmatic and technical. Experience in the OPIR mission area is required and the key technologies that enable a successful solution. Experience with business development and program capture is desired.
This position requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI program access.It will require travel to customer and subcontractor facilities.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or related STEM field
  • 7years of Engineering experience
  • 5 years of experience in Electro optic sensors.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI program access. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering or related STEM filed
  • 15 years of Engineering experience
