Manager Programs 3 (DoD Secret Clearance required)
The Next Generation GEO (NGG) payload program has an opportunity in Azusa, California for an experienced program manager with skills in managing customer interfaces and program capture. This position supports the Next Generation GEO program and will be responsible for formulating and executing strategy for positioning Northrop Grumman to be successful in capturing the follow-on phases for NGG. This position will also be responsible for identifying and prioritizing NCTA investments and strategies necessary to maximize Pwin success. Our NGG program includes Ball Aerospace as a team mate, so frequent coordination with their program capture lead will be required. Ball is a major subcontractor on the NGG program and will be responsible for providing the Infrared sensor and pointing system for this program.
The individual should also be knowledgeable of the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission area, including space and ground segments, and have a solid understanding of the Air Force space program acquisition processes from initial planning to contract award. This individual will be required to engage frequently with both AF and prime contractor program leadership, understanding their mission needs and presenting Northrop's approach toward solving their problems.
Strong experience is required in managing external customer interfaces, both programmatic and technical. Experience in the OPIR mission area is required and the key technologies that enable a successful solution. Experience with business development and program capture is desired.
This position requires an active Secret clearance and will require travel to customer and subcontractor facilities.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or related STEM field
- 7years of Engineering experience
- 5 years of experience in Electro optic sensors.
- Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI program accessis highly desired. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- MS in Engineering or related STEM filed
- 15 years of Engineering experience
