Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill the position of Test Engineering Manager within the Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) group at the Advanced Technologies Laboratory (ATL ) - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production as well as emerging programs.

The selected candidate will spearhead the building of the infrastructure to support the testing of wafers and integrated devices for the next generation radar platform for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. He/she will be managing a team of 12 engineers and technicians with plans to fill 6 additional positions in next 12 months.

The Test Engineering Manager will have managerial and functional responsibilities. Managerial duties include hiring, onboarding, personnel performance assessments, time charging approval, and employee development. Functional duties include project cost and schedule management, program/engineering interface activities, capacity and budget planning, test data reviews, and production readiness reviews.

The Test Engineering Manager coordinates all RF & Digital tests for multiple RFIC technologies such as GaAs, GaN, and SiGe. He/she will be leading engineering efforts for test hardware & software capability improvements, optimizing test accuracy and repeatability, and improving operational and throughput performance metrics. This individual will interface with the foundry, design, and program teams to balance resources, meet objectives, resolve issues, and develop team skills.

Eligible candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical area with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have prior experience leading or managing a team.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience within a production test environment
  • RFIC wafer or package level testing experience
  • Familiarity with ATE, PNA, spectrum analyzers, wafer probers and device handlers.
  • Prior software development, database, and data analysis tools experience
  • Active secret clearance
