Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 3 - Manufacturing and Tools to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The Advanced Mission Programs (AMP) Manufacturing Sub-Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for leading all production aspects and subsystem testing across several cross-functional and resource areas. The coordination elements of this role includes regular high level interactions with program and functional homeroom leadership as well as frequent interactions with suppliers and contractors in support of Global Supply Chain personnel. The AMP Manufacturing SPM is also responsible for close coordination and communication with all engineering functional directorates, departments and support organizations to ensure staffing plans, program on-boarding and roll-off plans are closely managed to ensure a successful execution plan.
The Manufacturing SPM will be accountable to AMP APM and IPT leadership for cost and schedule metrics on a monthly basis, while ensuring program production planning and execution cadence meet program financial and performance milestones. The AMP MFG SPM leads the budget and scheduling efforts including material, labor and supplier contracts to meet technical requirements of the program. The Manufacturing SPM will actively lead and manage an integrated production team of over exempt and non-exempt personnel in support of the efforts during the period of performance.

- A STEM related Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Engineering, Manufacturing Production, Program or Project Management
- Demonstrated success in managing teams
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors
- An active, in scope SSBI (investigation within the last 6 years)
- Prior experience in a space production environment
- Prior experience with ERP/MRP and manufacturing execution systems
- An Active SCI clearance
