Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Manager 3 for the Vehicle Engineering Functional Lead for the B-2 Program in the Manned Aircraft Division who can lead and manage a team of a diverse engineering staff that includes airframe & subsystems stress, design, materials and processes, mass properties and liaison engineering. The position is the principal focal point for all vehicle engineering cost, schedule and technical performance with in the B-2 program, and is based in either Oklahoma City, Oklahoma or Palmdale, California. The Vehicle Engineering Lead supports the B-2 Chief Engineer as a required member of the B-2 Enterprise Technical Review Board, Mission Assurance Review Board, Risk Review Board and Failure Review Board. The position is the primary liaison between the functional homeroom directorates for B-2 tools, processes and staffing requirements.

The Vehicle Engineering Functional Lead chairs vehicle engineering technical review boards, provides oversight of the change management, serves as a final reviewer for proposals, provides oversight to control account managers and provides program inputs for mid- and end-of-year feedback for individual engineers' professional performances. This position requires excellent Inter-personal skills to coordinate with manufacturing and systems test teams to ensure airframe integrity is maintained during fabrication and assembly cost centers. The ability to make critical decisions in a timely manner with cost and schedule considerations while ensuring engineering quality is required. The selected candidate must be willing to work in a classified environment, have a schedule and success driven attitude, motivate and inspire the team while providing surge support as required. Development of execution planning, staffing and working with the Palmdale CoE for resources would be required in concert with program statement of work objectives.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- Demonstrated excellence in a vehicle engineering field such as structural design, stress analysis, materials, and/or
thermodynamics
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams in the definition and execution of air vehicle design and/or installation
activities to include earned value management principles
- Experience with responsibility for the planning and execution of staffing.
- Must have a current active DoD Secret Clearance.

- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

- ABET accredited Master of Science Degree in Engineering
- Current active Special Program Access.
- Current active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Experience with CATIA, TeamCenter, FiberSIM, NASTRAN, FEMAP, MES, AMESim, and/or MATLAB

- Experience as a Control Account Monitor
