Manager Electrical Engineering 2

The successful candidate will oversee and manage a Electrical Design Group within the Hardware Engineering Department at Undersea Systems. The primary functions of this role are to provide: functional management of ~12 engineers, technical leadership in the design of complex electrical systems, oversight and control of ongoing engineering projects and support for management of the larger Hardware Engineering Department including manpower, employee engagement and training.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in hardware design, an understanding of design for manufacturing practices, developing engineering process, procedures and documentation for manufacturing, and an understanding of engineering's role for supporting small to medium production quantities. It is preferred that the candidate has knowledge and experience in designing mixed-signal systems that can include high-speed digital circuits for data acquisition, control, telemetry & communications; low-noise analog circuits as well as A/D and D/A converters; troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems related to analog/mixed signal, RF, fiber-optic systems, AC/DC power, FPGAs, microcontrollers, and serial communication; schematic capture, and analysis/simulation tools such as PSpice and/or Saber.

The position is located in Annapolis, MD.


Basic Qualifications:

A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of experience and a working understanding of common engineering design tools is required. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate with these skills will be given preferential considerations:

- Masters degree in Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent.

- 2 years or more performing people leadership duties.

- Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance or TS/SSBI
