Manager, Data Analytics Tools & Technology

Enterprise Services is seeking a manager to lead the Data Analytics Tools & Technology Team. The manager reports directly to our director, Data Analytics Governance & Technology organization. The manager will be responsible for development, management, and operations of our big data and analytics environment, the associated physical infrastructure, and system automation. The ideal candidate is exceptionally driven, a strong leader, a big picture thinker, and highly customer service oriented, possessing experience with large scale distributed software construction and deep experience with agile software development methodologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Build and develop a world class team, building on a strong foundation already in place
Lead engineers in detailed technical implementation
Develop and implement a highly performant analytics platform providing data scientists with capabilities for machine learning, complex event processing, streaming analytics, and large scale capacity
Development of the DevOps strategy, development of solutions in collaboration with platform architects to support the analytics and big data environment
Evaluating new and emerging technology products and services, and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency in our operations and technology integration
Design, Management and monitoring of Infrastructure, Network, and Systems Automation
Actively engaging with stakeholders to ensure services are delivered to meet or exceed expectations in a highly dynamic environment

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products
Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen
Experience with self-service data preparation tools, visualization tools, database and server technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 6-10 years of hands on software development experience
Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams
Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, Hadoop, SQL Server, and Northrop Grumman cybersecurity standards and practices
Experience with Agile development and methodologies and SaaS and/or mobile technologies
Strong experience with design, development, and implementation of complex Java web applications and services, Micro Service and REST Architecture
Extensive experience with web front end development: HTML/CSS, JavaScript (JQuery or Angular preferred)
Experience developing rich, web based user interfaces
Strong conceptual skills and ability to apply rapid prototyping techniques
Familiarity with DOD data handling requirements Familiarity with DOD data handling requirements
Solid understanding of software development under Linux
GovCloud /Fed Ramp Experience
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model
