Manager, Contracts 1

Northrop Grumman's Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (Space ISR) Systems Division team is seeking a Operating Unit Manager of Contracts.

This position will report to the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit Contracts Manager for the Space ISR Division. This position will be located in Linthicum, Maryland and will be the direct support for all contractual items for the RSP Business Unit.

The position is responsible for providing guidance and consultation to contract staff and program team in all aspects of Contract Management Procedures and Polices to include RFP's, proposal development and negotiations, Proprietary

Agreements, Teaming Agreements and Interdivision Work Orders. The candidate must have demonstrated capability of meeting contracts organizational goals. The candidate will represent the Contract Management in dealings with the internal and external customers while interfacing with all levels of Executive Management. This position will be a key contributor to the business strategies fro the business unit. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with business need and ability.

The preferred candidate will have experience in leading a highly complex and changing requirements in managing contracts. Candidate will have sufficient experience to provide contract oversight to multi-disciplinary team with the ability to assist team in highly complex problem solving issues and ability to communicate/resolve issues with internal and external customers.

Qualifications - External

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related work experience; 1 years of recent leadership role experience in contract administration or related field.
  • Top Secret clearance required
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communication and time management/organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Expert knowledge of U.S. Government Contracting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of contract professionals supporting a high volume, highly complex multi-million

dollar program.

  • Possess demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster teamwork and be self-motivating.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SCI preferred.
  • Masters Degree
  • Management Experience
