Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aManager Contract Admin -2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

Ideal candidate will administer, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
Basic Qualifications:
- An active in-scope DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

- Minimum of6 years'experience in government contracting

- Working knowledge of U. S. Government procurement regulations (FAR)

Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 years'experience in government contracting

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, and negotiating to all levels of management

- Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently

- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic program and business area leadership team

- Strong customer orientation and relationship building abilities

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively drive projects to completion

- Able to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

- Team player, independent, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills

- Proven ability to attract top talent, build a top performing contracts team, and dynamically lead, inspire, motivate and engage a team of contracts managers and administrators

- Proven record of successful negotiation of complex proposals

- Possess ability to use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards
