Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Manager, Business Management 3 to lead all Business activities associated with Aircraft Maintenance & Material Support (AMMS) Operating Unit based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position reports directly to the Strike & Special Mission Aircraft (S&SMA) Business Unit Business Director and partners with the AMMS Program Director to establish strategy, prioritize requirements, and achieve financial goals while ensuring the integrity of business processes are upheld.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides business oversight, interfaces with applicable customers and auditors (internal and external), and assists with contract negotiations as needed to ensure sound business deals within authorized parameters are achieved
  • Manages and oversees Business Management professionals' development and motivation, achieving a team environment while promoting continual process improvement
  • Interfaces with diverse functional areas to ensure risks are understood and financial performance is achieved
  • Assists the Program Manager with the various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within the program
  • Responsible for all Financial Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs, internal and external), ensuring on-time delivery with the utmost accuracy; examples include:
    • Contract Funding Status Report (CFSR)
    • Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
    • Monthly Rolling Financial Forecast
  • Reports financial data and associated metrics, preparing, analyzing, and reviewing data and figures
  • Ensures financial processes and reporting standards are in compliance with company policies and procedures (i.e. forecasting, presentations)
  • Prepares Estimates at Complete (EAC) with support from Program Management team


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:
    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of finance, accounting, or program control experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of finance, accounting, or program control experience
    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of finance, accounting, or program control experience
  • Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), commercial contracts, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Must be able to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business with a minimum of 8 years relative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SAP and Business Warehouse
  • Ability to develop and present material outside the immediate work function - Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable networking and interfacing with employees of other organizations.
  • Capable of performing root cause analysis and assisting Program Management team with maintaining risk & Opportunity assessments
  • Proven experience on a multi-year, multi-contract type programs as well as experience with intercompany financial reporting
  • Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret or Interim Secret security clearance
  • Knowledge of EVMS as applied to major government contracts
