Maintenance Technician 3 to work at its Ronkonkoma, New York facility. The Ronkonkoma facility supports the Propulsion Systems & Controls (PS&C) business unit of Defense Systems.

Job duties
Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.

Maintain facility support equipment (Shed)
Compressor 1
* Compressor 2
* Compressor 3
* Compressor 4
* Duplex
* Triplex
* N2 Generator

* Maintain facility support systems
Replacing valves/components as needed as a result of system inspections or other finding

* Support capital upgrade projects involving plumbing electrical changes/additions to new and/or existing facility systems
Support electrical efforts as well as needed

* Maintain inventory and request orders as needed for critical spare components for facility equipment and facility systems
* Maintaining components in an organized storage system
* Support facility vehicle maintenance from an electrical stand point as needed
Knowledge
Considerable knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
Supervision Given and Received

Typical Duties and Tasks
Duties & tasks are varied but standardized. Performs some more advanced functions. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex questions to higher levels.

Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
Contacts
Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
Basic Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must have at least 4 years of a combination of experience and/or further education
* Must be a US citizen
Salary Range: $57,800 - $96,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
