Maintenance Electrician 3
Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.
Applicants must have the ability to relay and receive information, collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks accordingly, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours, work in external environment conditions, move and lift tools and equipment associated with job requirements in a safe manner, wear respirator and other safety gear, work in areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces.
High School diploma or GED and Utah state journeyman electrician license.
4 years experience in electrical installation and repair.
Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 pounds, work in various environments and ability to wear respirator and other safety gear.
