Logistics Planner 5

Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Logistics Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Research and Development of advanced systems, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Training Development for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. Selected applicant analyzes technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel. Candidate regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards and is considered expert in field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks, able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings, and has the ability to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to complex assignments. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives and acts as an advisor to senior management and customers. Candidate maintains a complete understanding of the application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards within the industry. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks and develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Participates in determining objectives of assignment, plans schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing program objectives. Represents the organization within the functional area and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Develops and delivers presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical discipline and 15 years experience with Bachelors degree or 13 years experience with a Masters degree. In lieu of formal education, 19 years of applied experience may be considered. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required. Candidate must have expert-level experience in operations, electronic warfare, or intelligence systems and practical experience in training development and/or technical instruction. Candidate must have experience in a lead or supervisory role and able to communicate project status, milestones, technical advice, and recommended actions to management staff and the customer. Candidate must be able to research engineering data, technical manuals, and subject matter experts to lead complex projects from start to finish utilizing established processes, development software, and related team members. Proficiency in computer skills associated with the respective business professional position required. Candidate must have a current US DoD Top Secret clearance and be willing to submit to polygraph. Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment.

Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a minimum Top Secret Security Clearance. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, 365 days a year. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox. Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Surveillance, or Operation in a technical field such as aircraft, ship, missile, or space systems highly desired. Position requires a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and common business software and the ability to quickly learn and become proficient in related software used for training development, project tracking, and presentations.
