Launch System Integration Lead

Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical role for the National Security Systems (NSS) business area. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas. The program will be based in the Dulles VA location and may require some travel.

This position will be responsible for coordinating between the spacecraft and the launch vehicle. The position includes planning for processing at the payload processing facility to include preliminary schedules, leading the vehicle to launch vehicle ICDs, interfacing with the Range, initiating discussions on security with the payload processing facility provider, stakeholders, and the internal team, and attending working group meetings.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

BS Degree & 14 years experience.

The candidate will lead integration with launch vehicle and support the launch campaign through launch.

The candidate will work with cross-discipline team members and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation experience and the ability to work with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.

Must be willing to submit for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with integrating the MACH3 avionics

- Understanding of the current launch environment

- Understanding of requirements of the major launch providers

- Understanding of the major launch systems

- Skilled with requirements development and creation of Interface Control Documents (ICD)
