IT Asset Management Analyst 3/4

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a IT Asset Management Analyst 3/4 who will support several projects a large federal agency. These positions will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Description of Work:

  • Develop documentation for new IT Asset Management (ITAM) business practices and systems
  • Review and document the current and future ITAM architecture while making recommendations for further improvements
  • Review and assist configuring Asset Management Application's Software Asset Management, Database and Procurement modules based on industry best practices
  • Provide guidance and document Software Asset Management processes and procedures based on ISO standards
  • Document processes, procedures and instructions associated with using the software asset management and procurement modules
  • Assist with moving Software Asset Management and Procurement modules through the System Development Life Cycle
  • Assist with developing automated forms that will improve current ITAM business processes and procedures
  • Provide expertise and guidance to users in the ITAM systems design and solution architecture
  • Review Software entitlement, license and contract data
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Software Development Analyst 3:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years IT work experience or Master's degree and 4 years IT work experience, or 10 years IT work experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience programming in SQL for Oracle and Microsoft; Micro Focus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Database Administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing database wizards, widgets, workflows and interface scenarios preferably in MicroFocus Asset Manager (AM) or Hewlett-Packard Asset Manager (HPAM).
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Lawful Permanent Resident (Green card holder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed:
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years IT work experience or Master's degree and 8 years IT work experience or 14 years IT work experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience programming in SQL for Oracle and Microsoft; Micro Focus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Database Administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing database wizards, widgets, workflows and interface scenarios preferably in MicroFocus Asset Manager (AM) or Hewlett-Packard Asset Manager (HPAM).
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Lawful Permanent Resident (Green card holder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • 1 year or more of experience maintaining, operating and managing IT Asset Management using Service Now.
  • Experience writing scripts to support Data Normalization efforts
  • Experience maintaining discovery tool settings and interfaces between Asset Manager and other platforms such as SCCM, Tivoli Asset Discovery for zOS, MF UCMDB, and more.
  • Ability to thoroughly and independently test code and discover and fix errors.
  • Proven record of developing solutions for complex problems during the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience following best practices as defined by recognized industry entities such as ITIL, COBIT or Gartner.
  • Experience creating Micro Focus Connect-IT scenarios.
