IPT Lead (Manager Engineering 3)

The Azusa Engineering & Manufacturing organization has an opportunity for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead to lead subassembly development, design, and delivery for the Next Generation Geosynchronous missile warning payload. The Systems Engineering IPT lead will be responsible for leadership of the Systems Engineering team for overall payload mission performance and ensure overall mission objectives are achieved. The IPT will lead performance trades to ensure that the payload design meets overall system requirements. Systems Engineering will also ensure proper requirements allocation including derivation to subsystem elements and components, error budgeting, and performance verification. This IPT will integrate performance models between subsystems to ensure overall system performance over all mission phases. This is a new development program and the SE IPT lead will also lead and manage all efforts leading up to a Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR). The SE IPT lead will also lead follow-on proposal activities for the CDR to flight hardware delivery phases and subsequent program execution of those phases.
The selected candidate will have extensive systems engineering experience in Electro Optical and Infrared Systems (EO/IR), and understanding of these systems in a payload application where orbital conditions, thermal control, line-of-site pointing accuracy, jitter, radiation, and other environmental effects impact performance. The selected candidate will also have extensive experience in classical systems engineering requirements development, decomposition, derivation, and error allocation to subsystems and subsystem elements, as well as performance analysis, and development of test and verification approaches to verify these requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)field.
- 12 Years of relevant technical work experience including at least 5 Years of project management experience including cost account management and experience in use of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Must have anactiveDoD Secret level security clearance and maintain a secret level clearance for the duration of the assignment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- MS degree in Engineering or STEM field.
- 15Years of relevant technical work experience
- 8Years of project management experience including cost account management and experience in use of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI program accesshighly desired.
