Integrated Functional Capability Systems Engineering Mgr 3

Performs Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The IFC Lead interfaces with the Segment/IPT Leads and is responsible for the following tasks:

a. Management of the IFC

b. Definition of IFC capabilities/scope

c. For capabilities spanning more than one IFC the SEIT will set the priority for system integration

d. Coordinate software integration activities (in accordance with the Software Integration sector procedure).

e. Coordination of Integration and Test activities for IFC’s under their control

f. Identification and resolution of IFC problems/issues

g. Update of the IFCDD with approved IFC changes

h. Review of discrepancy reports for hardware and software

i. Assurance of communication between internal and external stakeholder in the development process

j. Presentation of recommendations for IFC problem resolution to the IFC Management Team

k. Development of the Delivery brief; coordinate Delivery brief meeting

l. Document lessons learned

m. Track and manage IFC metrics

n. Generate and release HSCM

Basic Qualifications:

Possess an advanced level of understanding in with regard to Agile software development and a general understanding of Hardware/Software integration. Requires a broad grasp of IFC practices and procedures.

14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD in A STEM discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Experience as an IFC RE or HW or SW Integration Lead
