Integrated Digital Systems Software Architect 6

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally qualified and proven senior software architect to join our internationally recognized team of experts who are revolutionizing digital cockpit capabilities of fixed and rotary wing military aircraft for the United States and its allies. This position will report to the SoCal software manager in Woodland Hills, CA, and will focus on setting strategy and lead successful implementation of model based engineering and agile process in IDS OU. The software architect must be capable of leading MBE/Agile efforts in support of program execution and acquisition of new business.
The successful Software Architect candidate must meet all Basic Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience or an M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 18 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience leading C2 embedded software development for avionics platforms
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing to effectively interact with high level Customers, along with demonstrated experience in preparing concept papers, briefings, trade studies, proposals, and similar documents
Excellent leadership skills to plan, estimate, organize, integrate and lead software activities across multiple engineering disciplines, along with the ability to effectively motivate people to work as an integrated team across locations, companies and cultures
Previous experience in MBE development efforts; specifically performing model based design using autocode generation tools
Broad technical and SW experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Must possess a current active Secret Clearance or above.

Preferred Qualifications:
Domain knowledge in IDS programs
Agile development experience
Experience in certification of military aircraft systems for operation in civilian airspace, including DO-178 and Global Air Traffic Management (GATM)
In depth understanding of software development processes that include complex configuration management for multi-configuration product lines
CAM expertise in SW project planning and execution
