As part of the 2nd shift Quality Assurance team in the Integration and Test Work Center: - Perform in-process and final inspections and perform product build documentation review and end-item data package review. - Perform detailed inspections on both EEE and Mechanical components at the piece part level as well as the assembly and sub-assembly level. - Uphold quality standards and workmanship practices in assigned work centers by learning/practicing process specifications and employing quality workmanship standards during everyday job functions. - Assist in developing training material for assigned work center QA group. - Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies discovered during inspection processes. - Perform audits of work areas to ensure compliance with Orbital Sciences Corporations ISO 9001/AS 9100 procedures and Lean Manufacturing Principles. - Perform in-depth reviews of product build documentation for configuration audit to determine if as-builtmeets as-designed. - Act as safety representative during critical and hazardous operations for assigned spacecraft Tags NGFeaturedJobs #LI-S-70 Space Systems NoVASpace Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma with minimum4 years' experience (ideally in Quality Assurance or an Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-mechanical field) OR AA Degree - Must be able to read engineering documentation and inspect to drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions - Willingness to travel (up to 20% of time) in support ofintegration or launchactivities is required - Fluent in use of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications - Excellent technical writing skills is mandatory Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, or Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering - Working knowledge of TipQA and/or Costpoint database applications - Knowledge in how to read schematics and wirelists Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
