Inspector 2

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Mission Systems sector. Our Quality Assurance Organization is seeking an Inspector to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This Inspection position will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah and will report to the Inspection Quality Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products. Products may include items such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units including subassemblies.
Inspection method may require the use of various measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, scale, ruler, drawing, part list, Assembly Instruction or other as defined.
Works from drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
Inspector will be required to make accepts, rejects, decisions on hardware inspected.
Inspector will be required to create reworks instructions for defective or malfunctioning items

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to read blue prints and part lists
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work in an ESD environment
  • Ability to spend shift in area personal protective equipment (PPE)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • J-STD Training (including color acuity)
  • IPCA 610/620 Training
  • Torque Training
  • Prior knowledge of SAP
