Information Systems Project Manager 2

Northrop Grumman Enterprise services is looking for a qualified Information Systems Project Manager.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services Classified Service Organization responsible for all phases of projects from initiation through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of projects. Is responsible for leading project teams of matrixed I.T. functional resources, strategic suppliers and customers / stakeholders. Applies PM skills to manage projects including life cycle of 1000+ desktop systems, managing IT document configuration, providing monthly reporting to Sector customer and IT Solutions PMO. The candidate will also manage software and hardware licenses and maintenance contracts with strategic supplier partners. As required by the project, maintain compliance with Internal Audit, Information Security, and Physical Security.

Oversee and manage the performance aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Classified Service group, the sector customer and the IT Solutions PMO. Manage and track status of projects and financials; manage schedules and prepare status reports; and ensure project business value delivery and goals are met. Assesses project risks and issues and develop mitigation plans and resolutions to be able to successfully execute on projects and achieve customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or 6 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top SecretSCI clearance with CI poly.
  • Ability to be cleared to special access programs.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior project management experience.
  • Experience with handling multiple project assignments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding the day to day routine of IT staff.
  • Knowledge of life cycle management of IT equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
