Information Sys Tech Analyst 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Information System TechnicianAnalyst Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD where Technology and Teamwork come together... We are seeking a highly motivated individual, with an eagerness to learn. Willing to explore new technologies independently and then develop them in a team environment. This individual must possess solid data analysis skills, strong understanding of database architecture and data normalization. Strong communication skills and having the ability to translate business needs into requirements. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's GSC Visibility and Tools team which has the responsibility for creating the visibility tools and identifying process improvement opportunities across the Mission Systems sector from the proposal process to the delivery of the product with a focus on the organization's supply chain activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support many different business areasby recommending/developing visibility reports and/or tools
  • Analyze/Interpret data and convert to meaningful information for thebusiness
  • Utilize various toolsets for data mining/data analysis
  • Explore/Develop new technologies or approaches to data mining and interpretation
  • Create ad hoc reports based onunique business needs
  • Support the GSC executive leadership team with data management, internal reporting, metrics and process improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors and 2+ years of data analytics and/or programming experience
  • Experience managing data using one or more of the following SQL, Visual Basic, C# and Java
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Data Transport formats: JSON, XML
  • Familiarity with modern web development stack (e.g. ASP.NET, MVC, Javascript frameworks, CSS)
  • Experience with version control tools like Git
  • Experience with SQL Database technology including Oracle and SQL Server
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects Reporting modules
