Information Sys Project Mgr 2/3

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence… Northrop Grumman is seeking a Information Systems Project Manager to join our team in defining the future. This position will be located in Mojave, CA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology support team.

Project Manager in support of the Program Integration Team (PIT) Facilities Integration organization and Information Technology department.

In this role, the successful candidate will monitor an internal facilities ticketing system for any and all facilities issues assigned to that area. The selected candidate is responsible for capacity planning, which includes personnel moves, IT coordination, phones, site facilities coordination, external ticketing and capacity system updates, status briefings, and all other aspects of Facilities Integration for the program area.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as liaison between project management, planning, project team, internal customers, contractors, and site facilities organizations.
  • Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Creatively developing mechanisms for monitoring and reporting project progress as well as intervention, problem solving and risk mitigation with project managers, internal customers, and contractors.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, related PC software, cables, and connectors.
  • Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support.
  • Installs, services, and repairs personal computers.
  • Connects personal computers to existing data networks.
  • Maintains network diagrams and records.
  • Maintains trouble logs.
  • Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks.
  • Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
  • Provide Desktop support and troubleshooting of interoperability issues.
  • Work closely with other IT organizations and Computer Security to ensure solutions best meet the requirements within the Customer approved, existing infrastructure.
  • Resolve problems involving new or existing hardware/software.
  • Research vendor documentation and work with other supporting organizations in SCIS and the Enterprise for troubleshooting solutions.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

ESCSOThis requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of Windows Desktop Administration or master's degree with 0 years of Windows Desktop Administration.
  • Familiarity with classified processing environments and procedures.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Must have current Security CE certification.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Windows Desktop Administration or master's degree with 3 years of Windows Desktop Administration.
  • Familiarity with classified processing environments and procedures.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Must have current Security CE certification.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VSM service management software.
  • Additional certification - Network , A .
  • Significant experience with desktop customer service working in a large enterprise environment.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
