Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Industrial Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. Responsibilities for this position (but not limited to) are:

  • Drive the operation of activities that have significant consequences to the organization, to include engineering design, manufacturing process, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling
  • Analyze and design sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishe methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
  • Establishor assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and5 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field (5 years with a master's degree)
  • An Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years is required
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to offsite locations to perform analysis and provide detailed results and recommendations


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience making decisions under conditions of uncertainty and where little precedent exists
