Industrial Engineer 1

Description:
The Industrial Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of Master Production Schedules (MPS) in compliance to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and program requirements. Candidate should have some experience, and/or the ability to learn how to schedule using MS Project and apply capacity analysis inputs to create an actionable schedule. The candidate should have the ability to learn SAP and understand how ERP is utilized to drive production for the sector. Some exposure or experience with discrete event simulation tools is preferred.

Responsibilities/Skills Requirements:
Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals
Gain understanding and application of project and manufacturing schedules
Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
Documentation of process and system problems/resolution for future reference
Possess strong organizational, planning and decision making skills, and the ability to work cohesively as a member of current and cross-functional teams
Candidate must possess ability to obtain SCI Clearance/DoD

Technical background:
Effective verbal and written communications skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and self-starter
Ability to present (PowerPoint, speaking in front of upper management, technical presentations vs overviews)
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) orIndustrial Technology/Industrial Engineeringwith1 year of experiencein a Manufacturing environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Discrete Event Simulation Software
  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Proficient in an ERP system like SAP
  • Current in scopeSCI Clearance, DoD
