High Energy Laser Design & Business Development Engineer

Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Laser Physicist/Engineer to assist in expanding CEO's diode pumped High Energy Laser (HEL) product portfolio. This position requires a team oriented individual with a positive attitude and proven results in all aspects of HEL product design, development, testing, fielding, and business development. Demonstrated capabilities in HEL business development and strong customer relationship building along with the systematic project execution proficiency are a must.

This position will focus primarily on business development of state-of-the-art HEL systems but the position will also require extensive interaction and participation in the design, development, and deployment of diode pumped gain modules, laser heads, and most other major components of HEL systems. The successful candidate will join a team that plans, leads, and executes on all activities related to the HEL business capture development, installation, and servicing HEL systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10 years minimum experience in designing, testing, and producing, installing, and selling Joule class HEL, MOPAs, amplifiers, seeders, etc.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in HEL business development
  • Exceptional customer focus
