This position is for a Software Systems Engineer 2 for the Northrop Grumman Technology Services Ground Subsystems Support Contract (GSSC) in support of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Operational Software Sustainment Program (IOSSP). This engineer will perform software system engineering development activities for the Minuteman III Operational Targeting Program (MOTP) located at the Space Park facility in Redondo Beach, CA. The successful candidate will perform software systems engineering tasks for requirements definition, design, development, qualification test, and software documentation for weapon system operational and support software. Ensures all relevant software and testing standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • 2 Years of related experience
  • Use and/or application of system software engineering principles, theories and concepts.
  • Familiar with requirements and software life cycle
  • Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems
  • Responsible, self-sufficient individual capable of performing tasks with general guidance
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing and verbal communication.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite Products: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ICBM operational and support software.
  • Familiarity with FORTRAN, , and C , MATLAB software languages
  • Experience in a software development environment
