Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Product Support Supervisor for a rotational OCONUS based in Palmdale, Ca. Successful candidate will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems. Successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit. Directly supervise staff of maintenance personnel. Assign work schedules, and manage day-to-day workflow and operating costs.

Additional responsibilities include but not limited to: cost, schedule, and technical performance affecting all aspects of maintenance performance on contract deliverables; provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents; reviews established work flow for adequacy in meeting objectives; monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists/provides direction to subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groups. Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department. Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees. Ensures projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and ten (10) years of specialized experience OR; fourteen (14) years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Knowledgeable of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance operations and its related systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experienced in managing proposal processes and documentation completion to include forecasting requirements of goals and operations.
  • Experienced with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and budget advice variances.
  • Experienced with testing, validating and verifying powered and non-powered GSE operations including all aspects of maintenance, inspections, servicing, and quality assurance.
  • Experienced monitoring the accuracy of maintenance data and training materials.
  • A thorough knowledge of special purpose vehicles, special test equipment and supply support.
  • Knowledgeable of all logistic elements, supportability, maintainability and logistics support analysis. Manage and review site survey results and formulate specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Supervises and controls asset positions of customer inventories.
  • Exhibit the use and/or application of maintenance principles, theories, and concepts to supervise maintenance shop operations. Have knowledge of industry practices and standards.
  • Supervised, monitored, and audited data entry for maintenance database. Managed review process for released engineering data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, and engineering data control activities.
  • Knowledgeable of formulated reports to identify and predict support equipment spares and consumable usage rates.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a minimum active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements and meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aviation and Aerospace Industry Operational supervisory experience
  • An excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, database software, relevant authoring utilities and software, or related development tools required.
