Grand Sky - Senior Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Emerado, ND.

Transforming the future of technology in Automated Sustainment. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Technology Services Sector Advanced Defense Services IR&D on Automated Software Sustainment focused on reducing costs associated with software sustainment and modernization through development of innovated automation tools and processes.

The candidate may be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, development, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate product requirements into software specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on automation of existing COTS products for rapid deployment & integration
  • Integrate and/or develop automation scripts and tools for rapid deployment of an integrated environment
  • Collaborate with a team in developing an implementation strategy
  • Conduct integration and development activities ranging across various tools, languages and platforms
  • Participate and support an Agile development process
  • Be a thought leader

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of direct relevant experience.

  2. Must possess a minimum of 6 years in Systems Integration development.

  3. Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience with scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python).

  4. Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience with software development languages (e.g. Java, C , C#).

  5. Must possess a minimum of 4 years of root cause analysis experience.

  6. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
