Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Cyber Info Assurance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Richmond, VA. The selected applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) team.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

The GCSS-ARMY RMF Information Assurance analyst will perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.

  • Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., RMF for DoDIT, CNSS 1253/NIST 800-53), make recommendations on process tailoring, lead/participate in and document process activities.
  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
  • Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.
  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
  • Provide IA and security; Maintain IA user access management; Maintain ports, protocols services documentation; Maintain GCSS-Army DOD IA Certification and Accreditation Process Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DOD Information Technology.
  • Other IA and Certification Support includes coordinating IA activities with the Government; as well as providing program support for: Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) submissions; Certificate of Compliance submissions; Monthly ACAS Scans; SAP GUI HDT support; CRB requests; Ports Protocols and Services Requests; and Preparation and Analysis Support.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3 are:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Position of Trust.
  • Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
  • Certifications – CISSP, ISSEP, Security , Network

Basic Qualifications for a level 4 are:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Position of Trust.
  • Minimum Education / Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Certifications – CISSP, ISSEP, Security , Network
