Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principle Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Thread Lead. Ownership of a portion of system requirements, allocation to unit level, R vs C, verification planning, and analysis planning and execution in a Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment. Significant customer coordination. The thread lead is responsible for integrating vertically and horizontally among all the key stakeholders to ensure a consistent vision and implementation for the system within that thread.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 3 years of work experience.
• An active DoD Secret to start
• Experience with requirements development and requirements management
• Experience with verification execution
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO)
• Systems Requirements Analysis (CAMEO, IBM DOORS)
