Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Mgr. Systems Engineering 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

SE Processes Lead. Responsible for leading SE team to conduct SE product audits, develop and maintain SE metrics, and develop and maintain SE process documentation. Leads across GBSD IPTs to ensure consistent processes and consistent process implementation.
Responsible for defining, updating, and implementing SE processes. Works across program to have common implementation so that metrics, products, etc. have a consistent look and feel to all users and reviewers. Consider and allow tailoring when specific solutions enhance the overall approach without creating net additional effort at the global level.
Lead team of 6 in auditing SE products for quality, completeness, and consistency. Keep team focused on appropriate maturity vs. milestone so provide helpful and timely feedback to product and content owners. Oversee R&V metrics definition and implementation. Oversee the SERB and the SEI-specific portion of the CM process. Capture processes in appropriate documentation for program reference such as the SEMP, Requirements Verification Plan (RVP), and the Requirements Model Management Plan (RMMP). Develop both direct team as well as the larger program personnel on SE processes.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field and a minimum 6 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Demonstrated management experience leading a technical and complex program effort.
  • Prior experience with ICBM programs
  • U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher
