Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Hardware Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for integration and maturation of hardware design of a complex system for GBSD Command and Launch Systems Integration Laboratory (C&L SIL). Responsibilities include setup, assembly, configuration, integration, and management for all C&L SIL component, kit, and rack mounted hardware. Developing and maturing design documents and cable drawings. Participate in test and verification planning. Implement design updates and configuration changes to support testing. Work closely with other segment product teams to develop an integrated solution. Perform trades to justify decisions feeding the design. Interface with vendor teams for hardware acquisition and technical information needed for operational system.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled at either Hardware Engineer or Principal Hardware Engineer level.
- For a Hardware Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
- For a Principal Hardware Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware design
- Experience with ground station design and/or military weapon systems
- Ability to produce engineering documentation
- Basic understanding of engineering lifecycle processes
- Excellent communications and teamwork skills
- Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within past 5 years
- Ability to travel u p to 50% travel
