This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This position will support all SP efforts for the GBSD Program within the Sector Support Business CoE organization.

The OPM will support program engineering, production and change management in all aspects of fabrication, assembly, and integration operations. This position will require previous experience in leading projects and people, understanding of scheduling in an engineering development life cycle environment.

The candidate will be working with multiple disciplines and sites, coordinating program requirements with leads across sectors and functions. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Production, Engineering, IPTs, and Program. Requires interface and coordination with other Production support departments; as well as regular interface with multiple levels of management.

Candidate must have proficient writing and presentation skills as well as the ability to articulate schedule reports/scenarios and conduct presentations to upper management and approval change boards.

Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and other internal customers. Must be open to traveling up to 25%.

Responsibilities include:

• The Operations Project Management (OPM) leads and directs activities between System Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Operations to develop cross functional manufacturing build plan and/or execution schedules.
• This position is responsible for coordinating schedules, manufacturing requirements, and cost visibility to both the Program Office and the Customer while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Work to targeted cost and schedule requirements.
• Facilitate internal meetings to support design, production, and problem resolution.
• Represent the team at any of the Program Review/Change Boards meetings and create / manage any applicable risks and/or opportunities from the program risk register.
• Support and generate proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.
• Acting as a leader or member of a product team, responsible for product-level requirements analysis, design, engineering and fabrication of the products assigned

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience with project management in a multi-disciplined manufacturing / operations environment; OR Master's Degree and 1 years of experience with project management in a multi-disciplined manufacturing / operations environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications for Level 2:
• Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
• Familiarity with manufacturing engineering and their interaction with associated tooling
• Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and/or process improvement (Green Belt or Black Belt)
• Familiarity with Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and bringing new products to volume (high rate) production
• Familiarity with Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and Scheduling cross functional activities
• Familiarity with earned value management
• An Active, DOD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted or renewed within the last 5 years

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience with project management in a multi-disciplined manufacturing / operations environment; OR Master's Degree and 4 years of experience with project management in a multi-disciplined manufacturing / operations environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications for Level 3:
• Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
• Experience with manufacturing engineering and their interaction with associated tooling
• Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
• Lean Manufacturing principles and/or process improvement (Green Belt or Black Belt)
• Experience performing Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and bringing new products to volume (high rate) production
• Experience with Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and Scheduling cross functional activities
• Experience in Firm Fixed Price contracts and earned value management knowledge.
• An Active, DOD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted or renewed within the last 5 years
