FPGA Engineer / Principal FPGA Engineer - Space

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Digital Engineering Group, is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to work on FPGA and ASIC Design across the full product life cycle process. In this capacity, you will utilize your working knowledge of digital signal processing and digital interfaces. As a Digital Design Engineer, you will be developing systems for a variety of spacecraft and other technologies yet to come... We are seeking team members who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems. As a developer on this team, the selected candidate will perform the technical design, development, and integration & test of digital subsystems, ASICs, FPGAs, single board computers, and other digital board products. The candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplined team to architect the technical solution for complicated space payloads. The candidate will also have the opportunity to interface with internal and external customers and suppliers in this position. This candidate must have good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skills. This candidate must have a desire to learn and take on significant challenges. This position is located in Linthicum, MD. Basic Qualifications for FPGA Engineer: - BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable STEM discipline - 2+ years of relevant work experience (0 years with a MS degree) - Knowledge of full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation and test) of FPGA Design - Ability to work in teams and communicate clearly across various levels of management and engineers - Secret Security Clearance Basic Qualifications for Principal FPGA Engineer: - BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable STEM discipline - 5+ years of relevant experience (3+ years with an MS, 0 years a PhD) - Working knowledge of full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation and test) of FPGA Design - Experience with VHDL or Verilog - Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: - MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable engineering discipline - Top Secret Clearance or higher.
