Are you ready to enhance your career at Northrop Grumman? If so, we need you to join our Team of professionals as a Forces Planner (Air) - Instructor Controller. This position is located in Suffolk, VA.
You will work as a member ofour team supporting the Joint Staff in delivering collective joint training to enhance the operational effectiveness of the current and future joint force. You will conduct research and analysis of friendly and adversarial aviation capabilities and serves as the functional expert for the conceptualization, development and credible replication of friendly and opposing force (OPFOR) air units, platforms, systems, weapons, munitions and tactics in computer-assisted joint and combined military exercises and mission rehearsals.This planner produces OPFOR Campaign Plans and Campaign Overview Briefs in support of joint training events.
You willalso operates models and simulations (M&S) to replicate friendly and OPFOR aviation forces during military training exercises and systems tests. A qualified candidate must understand the use of tactics, techniques, and procedures and how to control aviation forces in M&S. Current simulations include the Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF), Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS), and JCATS Low Overhead Driver (JLOD). The planner develops M&S Systems Plans, trains M&S operators, and provides initial and refresher training on current M&S systems used for Joint Staff exercises.
1. B.S. or B.A. degree. An additional 4 yrs of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
2. Minimum of five (5) years' aviation experience as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer, or DOD civilian equivalent.
3. A current Secret Clearance.
4. Ability toobtain a US passport.
5.Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
1. Experience in operating military simulations.
2. Current Top Secret w/SCI eligibility.
