Under direction of Shift Lead will perform duties associated with Fire Prevention and Suppression, to include Hazardous Material Spill Response, Medical Emergencies, ARFF and Structural Response. Additional duties will involve performing high hazard aircraft standbys for operationssuch as Fuel / Defuel, Green Engine runs and Flight activities. Issuance of permits for hot work, and confined space entry. Inspection of installed fire protection systems and monthly facility inspections.Must have ability to perform strenuous physical work; items such as lifting a minimum 40 pounds unassisted, stooping, standing for a minimum of one hour, walking, and climbing ladders.
Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivilent and 4 years additional education or related experience. Valid Driver's License, must have DOD certification as Firefighter, Airport Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Operations Level and have a current EMT certification. Must have an active in-scope Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance and be able to obtain special program access as required. Must be able to work any shift or work schedule.
