Under direction of Shift Lead will perform duties associated with Fire Prevention and Suppression, to include Hazardous Material Spill Response, Medical Emergencies, ARFF and Structural Response. Additional duties will involve performing high hazard aircraft standbys for operations such as Fuel / Defuel, Green Engine runs and Flight activities. Issuance of permits for hot work, and confined space entry. Inspection of installed fire protection systems and monthly facility inspections. Must have ability to perform strenuous physical work; items such as lifting a minimum 40 pounds unassisted, stooping, standing for a minimum of one hour, walking, and climbing ladders. Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Clearance and Special Program Access.
High School Diploma / GED, valid Driver's License and 4 years related experience. Must have DOD certification as Firefighter II, Airport Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Operations Level and have a current EMT certification.
