Financial Analyst 3/4

The financial analyst – Corporate Financial Strategy and Planning provides analytical support for major corporate actions, including capital management decisions, strategic transactions (including mergers and acquisitions), and other special projects in support of the executive management team and Board of Directors. The financial analyst is also closely involved in long-range strategic planning / financial planning, performing peer competitive analyses, and evaluating the company's business portfolio. The role involves coordination with internal and external parties, including investment bankers, consultants, corporate and sector strategic and financial planners, and other business management functions.

Performance standards that an incumbent must have to be successful in this position include:

  • Presence and maturity to work directly with executive management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of academic and professional excellence

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline and 6 years of financial analytics / M&A transaction related experience (or 3 years Big 4 Accounting Firm, Investment Banking, or Turnaround Advisory Firm experience).
  • Advanced financial modeling, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint skills.

Basic qualifications for a level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline and 10 years of financial analytics / M&A transaction related experience (or 5 years Big 4 Accounting Firm, Investment Banking, or Turnaround Advisory Firm experience).
  • Advanced financial modeling, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA, and / or CFA preferred.
  • Intensive analytical / transaction experience.
  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
